When an input's assay varies lot to lot, a fixed recipe either wastes material or misses specification. The quantity must scale with potency.
Yield variance is invisible
Process losses vary by batch and season. Without batch-level yield capture, the cost of a poor run is spread across good ones.
By-products are written off
Saleable by-products and recovered solvent carry real value that discrete costing has no way to credit back to the batch.
Hazard documentation is manual
MSDS sheets, transport classification and packaging labels are maintained separately from the item master and drift out of sync.

Safety data sheets, UN numbers, transport class and packaging group held against the item and printed onto labels and shipping documents.
Effluent and consumption records
Water, effluent and hazardous waste quantities recorded in the formats pollution-control boards ask for.

What happens if you outgrow a plan
Nothing breaks and nothing is cut off. Questions from chemicals & process buyers
Does it handle co-products and by-products?
Yes. A batch can produce a primary output plus co-products and recoverable solvent, each valued and credited against the batch cost. Without that, process costing systematically overstates the primary product's cost.
Can we manage toll manufacturing for customers?
Yes, with the material held as customer-owned, conversion charged as a service, and the GST job-work provisions applied including the return-period tracking.
Is it validated for pharmaceutical manufacturing?
Not out of the box. This covers chemical process manufacturing; formal GMP computerised-system validation for a regulated pharma plant is a separate scope. We will say so rather than imply coverage we do not have — tell us if that is your requirement.
