Orus Studio exists because most businesses buying software are handed a choice between a product that nearly fits and a custom build they cannot afford. We work at both ends of that: a catalogue of vertical systems that are running in weeks, and bespoke engineering for the cases where nothing off the shelf will do.
What connects the two is a preference for being useful over being hired. The comparison pages on this site say plainly when a competitor is the better choice. The ERP readiness tool tells some visitors not to buy an ERP. Every plan limit is published rather than left for a contract. That is deliberate, and it is the reason the conversations we do have tend to be short and productive.
We are engineers first. Strategy, design, development and QA sit under one roof so nothing falls between vendors, but the centre of gravity is the code — and the people who write it are the people you talk to.
We will tell you not to hire us
If a ready-made product covers your need, or your budget does not match your requirement, or the project should not be built at all, we say so on the first call. It costs us some revenue and saves both sides a bad engagement.
You can always leave
Custom projects end with you holding the source and documentation, and annual product plans include it too. We would rather earn the renewal than rely on you being stuck.
Senior people do the work
You talk to the engineers writing your software, not an account manager relaying messages. Small teams of experienced people beat large teams of junior ones on everything except headcount.
Estimates are ranges, and we say why
A single confident number before discovery is a guess dressed up. We give ranges, explain what moves them, and narrow them as we learn.
Boring technology, deliberately
We use conventional, well-understood tools so the team you hire next can maintain what we built. Unusual architecture is a cost you pay at handover.
Every limit in writing
Plan limits are published on every product page rather than left for a contract, and every quote states its assumptions and exclusions. Nothing is discovered later.
